Things That Can Increase A Woman’s Chances of Conceiving Twins

Despite the gender and number of children that form in your womb after fertilization are greatly determined by nature, certain things can heighten your chances of giving birth to twins. So many people who are interested in birthing twins will be happy about this and that is why I wrote this article. Some of the things that can increase your chances of conceiving twins include; 1. Age Age is one of the factors that can boost your chances of having twins. People over 30 are more likely to conceive twins. This is because follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) rises as birthing parents get older. It is this hormone that is accountable for the evolution of eggs in the ovaries before they are expelled. As women age, they need higher levels of FSH because their eggs require more incitation to grow than before. Sometimes, the follicles overreact to higher FSH levels and two or more eggs are released and fertilized, resulting in multiple pregnancies. This is another reason why older women may give birth to twins. 2. Weight People who have more weight have a high chance of giving birth to twins. Extra body fat leads to increased levels of estrogen, and higher levels of estrogen can lead to overstimulation of the ovaries. Instead of releasing just one egg at ovulation, the ovaries may discharge two or more. While the odds of twins may increase, it is not an excuse for you to get obese as other complications may arise from this. 3. Breastfeeding Do you know that conceiving while breastfeeding can increase your chance of giving birth to twins? Studies have shown that it is possible to get pregnant when breastfeeding and with twins. All women should take note of this. 4. Diet Research has also shown that diet contributes to your chances of birthing twins. Studies have shown that people who eat a lot of dairy products are more likely to conceive twins. One theory is that the growth hormones given to cows affect the hormone levels in humans. Alpholtawy
